When I think smoothies, I imagine nice calm mornings watching the sun come up. When I mention new recipes and blends of fruits, veggies and flavors to my family, I often get a lot of new ideas. I have created a Top 5 list for what I make in the morning.
I am not playing favorites with the order or the V9 smoothie would be last. I know it is good for me body but my face doesn't like the taste. :)
The Wake Up Smoothie
1 cup frozen unsweetened raspberries
¾ cup chilled unsweetened almond or rice milk
¼ cup frozen pitted unsweetened cherries or raspberries
1½ Tbsp honey
2 tsp finely grated fresh ginger
1 Tbsp black elderberry syrup
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
The Amazing Smoothie
1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
1 banana
½ cup orange juice
½ cup pomegranate juice
6 frozen strawberries
The Spa Day
Peel, seed and chop: 2 medium cucumbers
½ cup honeydew
1 freshly squeezed lime
1 cup honeydew melon
1 cup ice
3 Tbsp honey
The V9 Smoothie
1 ¼ cups tomato juice
¼ cup carrot juice
½ peeled cucumber
½ celery stalk
¼ cup parsley
¼ cup spinach
½ cup ice
The Island Power Smoothie
1 cup chopped pineapple
½ cup chopped mango
1 cup coconut water
1 banana
½ cup orange juice
1 cup ice
